This session dealt with two current issues within technology enhanced learning.

Developing an elearning strategy for a modern law school

Sarah King from Birmingham City University provided an interesting insight into her thought processes in putting together an e-learning strategy that included issues such as how to select from the plethora of technology enhanced learning tools and how to engage colleagues with the strategy. This stimulated a lively debate from the audience of their own experiences and raised the key issue of the moment of how we manage change.

Engaging students through electronic voting – clickers and mobile phone systems

Carol Withey of Greenwich University provided us with a lively and highly interactive session demonstrating how you can gain the benefits of audience participation voting without the use of clickers via the use of a standard mobile phone. This demonstrated how technology enhanced learning is becoming easier to use and free within usage constraints (student numbers up to 30).
